The Winterthur Lions are top of the table with a healthy percentage, after a dominant display against the Basel Dragons. Jonas Pflüger (7 goals) and Gareth Taylor starred on debut for the Lions, but it was a well structured team effort all round.
The Northern Bears, the combined reserves team of Winterthur, Zurich and Basel, took on the Jets Reserves team in the final match of the day. The Bears played a fantastic game against a more experience oppenent, remaining competetive throughout and piling on four goals in the last quarter.
